The Experience
Egypt is a land renowned for its wealth of stunning monuments that stand as a testament to one of the world’s most fascinating ancient histories. No one who visits these sacred landscapes comes back unchanged by their transformational energy. No matter what you encounter or discover here, you will return with more questions than you arrived with!
We have designed an 8 night tour that allows you to encounter Egypt’s breathtaking sites and monuments and at the same time attune to the sacred energies of this wonderful land. You will also enjoying plenty of time for your own relaxation and reflection.
Our holiday is based in Luxor (the site of the original Thebes in ancient Egypt) and if ever a city was dominated by its history then this is it. Luxor is frequently referred to as the ‘world’s greatest open-air museum’. From our base here we will be traveling the short distance to explore many of the temples and complexes on the East and West banks of the Nile, including Karnak, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings.
To help us understand and appreciate these sites, all our tours are accompanied by our Egyptologist, who is the Chief Inspector of Antiquities on the West Bank and well versed in the history and culture of this ancient land.
We travel direct from London to our hotel base in Luxor. Our visit to the Giza complex in Cairo is by rail, which includes a shared overnight sleeper cabin.
Your stay in Luxor will be at a four or five star hotel, located on the banks of the River Nile and ideally suited for exploring the local sites. You will share a fully air-conditioned room, complete with a wide range of facilities. the hotel having its own outdoor pool and terrace.
All meals during your stay in Egypt are included in the price of your holiday. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. A packed lunch is prepared for each daily excursion, along with plenty of water. Dinner will be taken either back at the hotel or at local restaurant dependent on the day’s travel arrangements.
